We first met Trace when looking for a designer to help us with the fitout of a property we renovated in Queenstown. She understood from the outset exactly what we were looking for – a luxury lodge type of feel for a clifftop house with the most amazing views of Lake Wakatipu.  Her brief was to find all the furniture and soft furnishings to fit the bill, and to work with the few bits and pieces that we already had. She had an instinctive feel for what we were looking for and what our tastes were, which made the whole process a very simple exercise.

There was no time wasting viewing unsuitable stuff and she gently guided us with her ideas as to what would work. We could not have been happier with the end result! From sofa’s and rugs, lamps and cushions, tables and throws, right down to tissue box holders and ice buckets, Trace’s friendly manner and bubbly, unflappable personality - along with her organized and professional approach - made what could have been a very stressful business, a fun and enjoyable experience. We recently bought a 100-year-old, well maintained, Californian bungalow. It had great bones but
needed a major cosmetic upgrade. Trace of Decor Design is my go-to lady for help and advice, and she didn’t disappoint. We made a couple of alterations and Trace was there to make sure that we optimised the end result.
